Disable auto-login

Hi guys! How are you?

I’m using the BSPWM version and I chose auto-login when I did the initial install. Now, I want to be asked for the password when starting the system. (the traditional login screen) I’ve looked everywhere but haven’t found how to do this.

How should I proceed?

Thank you very much!

Are you using a display manager? E.g: LightDM, SDDM, etc.?

If you’re using LightDM, configurations related to autologin can be found here:

For SDDM:

Thanks a lot, anthony93! I am using LightDM and your tip works like a charm!

in etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf I commented the line autologin-user=username and now the password is asked in login screen.

Yeah. I figured you’re using lightdm. The lightdm link is the only one that was clicked.

for sddm I just commented out the lines in /etc/sddm.conf (Sway). Hopefully that does the trick.
