Deepin features

Some of their team want it to remain how it is, or in details, make dde-kwin (as their github repository name) compatible with new kwin versions as what that meant to be, and provide little customization options.

But yeah some others still would like to fork kwin, actually coming up with this all day. If that really happens, I don’t really see a way maintaining it in distributions like Arch as the gap between their stable KDE libs and Arch would be too big to fill and that work would most probably end up left on me alone.

Well if only they can get rid of kde libs and make kwin independant but making a new compositer will be better choice.

I think @felixonmars is just the middle man between the Deepin devs and arch Deepin, so don’t overload him with all these requests

Are dde developers available to fix bugs in the best possible way so that the transition from dde to Ubuntu arch Linux fedora gentoo is in the best possible way?

Apart from the dde store, there is still a lot left based on dtk

Is it because of this that there are many problems in the deepin garuda and the other arch based distros no?

I don’t think so. It’s now several months later and I still got very limited responses from them :frowning:

I think we need to show that there are many people interested in contributing to the interface dde
That way we will be recognized and give value to the corrections of the Upstream of the dde
