Thanks, did everything and rebooted.

I’m still not seeing it. I’m not sure if I’m missing something :frowning:

I’ve been wanting to do a clean reinstall and probably will next week. Maybe that will help things a bit.

Maybe you’re not seeing it because it doesn’t list what you think it should? What does the output show with device unplugged. Then what does the output show with device plugged in?

Edit: You can do the same again but look at dmesg.

sudo dmesg | eos-sendlog

nope youve done everything right so far…

youve tried another cable right? also follow @ricklinux instructions to get dmesg so we can see if its dropping off the bus or not detecting at all during boot

Yeay guys you freaking rock!!!

lol nice, congrats :+1:

any details on what ultimately helped fix it in case anyone else encounters this? looks like you have it plugged into the usb 2.0/1.1 ports

I’m so embarrassed. I’ve taken up so much of your time but it was the USB cable. I thought I had swapped it but I tried three others and the first one worked :frowning:

Thank you all!

LOL

no worries it happens, glad its working now

Thanks, man, I feel like a boob!

So it does show up properly and now you know. Cables matter!

they really do sometimes, my PS5 controller only works with 1 of my cables for charging/connection. Never forget the cables :joy:

I thought I had changed cables but I must have gotten frustrated. I’m starting to think I need to update all my cables, stereo included.

Wow, that Schiit is pushing out some serious full base from my old Clarions.

Glad you succeed.
It happened to me once, a cable was meant for charging a device, the data connections were not wired.

most of my type C cables are like this, only 3 of my 9 type C can carry data :expressionless:

I was wondering about that. Some cables are thick, especially the power ones, and some data are thin. Makes me wonder if there is any rhyme or reason about these so-called universal cables. I’m going to test all of mine and keep them separated.

Thanks guys again
