In my case creating any new files or directories didn’t help either. However I did a thing described below, and it seems to have worked.
What comes to the reintroduction of the issue, I think doing this same thing with inserting a kernel option again might do the trick in the future, but we’ll see. The main point is that nothing has ever helped me before, until this particular thing. Good luck to you, and please tell us if it worked for you as well.
