So I’ve had to run lots of installs over the years due to me screwing up my system and all that. I was wondering if it’s possible for me to take a fully-configured system and back it up to a disk (kind of like writing an .iso) so that I can just install from that and be more or less good to go?
I started using chez-moi, you can save config files and script to install programs you are used to automate the post install process. This came from a thread I posted recently. @sradjoker gave the idea, it is a pretty cool method. Once everything is setup, the only thing I do is chezmoi update and it runs all scripts etc. It can also install AUR packages.
