Crashing with dual monitor

Hi, I have been using EndeavourOS (dual-booted) with gnome for a couple of months now and just brought another monitor recently which is connected via HDMI.
The problem I’m facing is that whenever I am doing something slightly memory intensive (30% usage), the dual monitor bugs/lags out for a moment. Things to note here are:-

  1. Just the dual monitor freezes, my laptop monitor keeps working as normal.
  2. The freeze is only momentary (3-5sec), after which my system logs out and restarts automatically.
  3. The freeze doesnt occur when i have disabled the dual monitor from settings and while i only work on laptop monitor.

I have tried various fixes which I found online which include:

  1. Setting up the dedicated graphics as default for all apps
  2. Disabling all gnome extensions
  3. Trying both gnome on xorg and wayland

Since none of these work, I’m resorting to asking the pros…

Update: Tried switching to KDE Plasma, but the crashing persists :frowning:
