Could not upgrade lib32-libffi due to unresolved dependencies

Hello,

While updating my system today, I received an error message stating that lib32-libffi could not be updated because the dependency libffi=3.5.0 could not be resolved. (I have updated my mirror list but the issue persists.)

As this is the first time I’ve encountered such an issue, I wanted to hear what would be the recommended action. Should I wait for it to be resolved or can I ignore it?

Thank you for your help.

EDIT: looks like the issue was resolved without need for my personal intervention.

Well I just updated that file without any problems, and I could see this is a file from the multilib repository, did you disable (or delete) multilib at some point ?

wait for your mirror you use to fully update all dependency. cancel that upgrade and wait for server to sync all

Nah, looks like it was a temporary problem. I tried to update now and it worked as normal.

I am not sure what you mean. I ran eos-rankmirrors and pacman -Syy after I encountered that problem. Anyway, looks like the problem was resolved.

that is because sometimes there is a delay of fetching new updated data on some mirror like what happen to that lib32-libffi being outdated

Well if you want to update everything including the packages installed from the AUR, you could either use

eos-update --yay

Or just

yay

And that is what I do
