Uhhh that is a very good question. Im pretty sure its this psu
Instability…crashes blue screen Windows? Yes!
Yeah. I was using windows when i got my pc. The blue screens started about a half year after i got it. Then they just continued. And i guess the freezes are linux way of blue screen >(
If the ram is good then that’s what i would suspect. What is the wattage and brand of the power supply and i think you have AMD GPU? What is it again?
Edit I usually test ram for a significant period of time if i suspect it. There should be zero errors on ram. When ram is put in you also have to make sure it’s put in and seated properly. Hopefully you have anti static strap also. Ram is to be pressed in until the snaps lock into place. You don’t use the snaps to lock it down.
do you think this wire test should be worth to try and see if its faulty?
test
Okay yeah i will test the ram. For how long do you suggest? and what software to use for testing the ram?
No because that is just a test to see that it works. It’s not a proper power load test.
Edit: What is your graphics card?

What or how could i test my psu with the power load test??
Power supply at 500 Watt is okay but I would go 600 if you get a new one.
You need a proper tester …but like i say getting it tested and or buying a tester is probably worth just replacing it.
So its sure enough that it could be it that its worth replacing it? ill of course do the memory test first and see if its that.
I just use memtestx86. How long did you test it?
uhm like 2h??
Not that one. That’s 500 watts bronze certified it probably drops out to 400 or so under load. It also has a very small amp rating on the 12v rail for both the cpu and gpu. The amp rating is too small on those. AMD is power hungry and you have both ryzen and an amd gpu. I have a 5800x and a 6700xt and thought I can get away with a 750w multi 12v rail PSU. It was dead after 4 months.
I’m just saying 500 watts could handle that card if it was the right 500 watt power supply but that’s minimum. I always go 100 watts over minimum required and also get higher end hardware.
Yeah like I overkill it when it comes to power.
Also, keep in mind with greater power comes a massive current bill.
You wanna play…you gotta pay!
Electricity bills in finland are nothing. You literally dont pay for the electricity, you pay for the delivery of it.
What power supply would you recommend for me? Christmas is soon soooo ![]()
Yeah im starting to believe more that its the psu. It seems to only crash when idle or under heavy load like games etc… Sometimes it crashes on its own but not too often. Ill check ram and then ill get the psu checked in a electronic store.
