Computer dies after sleep

I close my laptop lid to put it to sleep.
Then I open the lid and the laptop is not responsive, just black screen.
I try to close the and open the lid again, it doesn’t help.
Just black screen, I literally need to pull the charging cable out to force shutdown my laptop.
I am on kde, please help.

Sorry you’re having this issue. I’m sure someone will help with a fix related to kernels and ram, zram, etc.

You can use this search query for now to find one yourself: https://forum.endeavouros.com/search?q=sleep%20status%3Asolved%20order%3Alatest

As for this:

If you are unable to shut down your device the correct way (i.e through the OS), it’s been said that you should opt for pressing the power button for a few seconds rather than pulling out the cable.

They are both risky, but the method you used on this occasion is said to be more risky than the other.

You could try going to TTY: press keys Ctrl-Alt-F3
Then try to go back to GUI: Ctrl-Alt-F2 (or Ctrl-Alt-F1)

Also, look for REISUB on this forum.
It helps in such situations and may save your disk.
