Hopefully it’s fixed by tomorrow!
FWIW - this is maybe a better question for the Garuda guys in house or even at their forum, as that’s their own repos. If it’s notfixed yet, I’m sure it will be up and going again soon.
Suffice to say that a planned cleanup operation ran into an unexpected glitch, and unavailable persons have contributed to delays in attempts to recover the situation.
For now, just comment out chaotic-aur in your /etc/pacman.conf (or otherwise disable checking) to allow all else to operate. It is being worked on (hard) to bring it back…
I see. That’s perfectly fine!
I’m sure it’ll be fixed by tomorrow morning
I am not so sure about the timeline, but it IS being worked on - much of it in the European time zones - so they might time out before success is achieved…and have to continue tomorrow - but they ARE good…
Actually the Chaotic AUR is not a Garuda specific project, although we rely heavily on it with our distro.
I believe this issue started with the AUR going down for a short while. This delayed the scheduled Chaotic AUR package rebuilds, so everything fell behind schedule. Hopefully it will be resolved very soon.
Ah, I was sure it was your in house repo, my apologies on that one. The AUR goes down occasionally - although it’s usually Manjaro hahaha.
Actually, as far as I can tell the mirrors are busy syncing again now. Mine’s up! - and others are chugging away…
YMMV - but if you use mine you are probably back in business.
Great!

The packages are still marked as missing for me…
rankmirrors doesn’t work either
[matt@mpc ~]$ rankmirrors -t chaotic-mirrorlist
'chaotic-mirrorlist' does not exist.
You probably need to pass it the full path to the mirrorlist file.
Er…
Do you have a proxy server or something otherwise filtering https traffic?
You need to edit that file before use rankmirror.
Take backup or copy of it and then run:
sed -i 's/$repo/chaotic-aur/g;s/$arch/x86_64/g' chaotic-mirrorlist OR that name of the copy filename
Finally, make sure that the original file is back in use if you modified it.
No, I don’t
Using your command and then rerunning rankmirror makes things reachable but when I go back to the original mirrorlist it’s unreachable again.
The two chaotic packages are missing using both mirrorlists
Also tried reinstalling the chaotic repo which didn’t fix it
Have you tried?
sudo pacman -Sy gnupg archlinux-keyring endeavouros-keyring && sudo pacman -Syu
Still missing…
