Change of pc moving Linux drive

Hello,

I have recently built a new pc and have moved over my drive with Endevour os. However, when I plug in the drive the system will reach bios screen but clicking F2 won’t get you to the menu until the drive is removed. Any ideas or hints as to how to fix it?

Are they identical computers? If not, you will likely have issues with drivers and such. Is it Nvidia? Same card as before? Was the drive encrypted? You will also need to chroot abs reinstall grub. It’s not impossible, but there could be quite a few things you need to do to make it so.

I don’t know how but just moving around the drives in the different sata ports did it for me.

Ive moved linux drives between PCs many times, as long as its not Nvidia->AMD youre usually fine.

Glad you fixed it, usually it just works that sata port thing is strange

My case is the worse nvidia and and intel to amd and it still work. Do I have to do anything with regards to drivers?
