Thanks for a great little program! It has helped me out now a couple of times when the AUR wasn’t available.
I didn’t have the time to investigate further when I encountered the issue, but I will keep an eye on it and report back on the Github bug tracker if necessary.
When you install and update packages, you are using one of Archlinux’s mirrors. There are hundreds of mirrors out there. They cannot simultaneously DDoS hundreds of mirrors so they still work. However, when updating AUR apps, there is only one mirror for the AUR at https://aur.archlinux.org/
if that one mirror is down due to a DDoS attack you are SOL.
There is a way to get around this, but it requires time and patience. Best to wait until the AUR is available again. I was having trouble this afternoon, but right now (20:30 US central time 10/26/25) it is working for me.
