Buying new laptop, need help

Hello,

Yes, both of Asus have OLED screen, but it is beautiful:)
Probably not good for a battery. But nowadays you can’t remove battery from laptop, it is constantly connected on charger so also not good .

ZenBook is my fav , but need to see.

Lenovo Thinkpad is good on specs, especially with upgradable RAM.

Yoga seems to fancy , doubtful how it will behave on Linux

Also I need 16:10 display

Lenovo’s are usually good on Linux but the Yoga model is not the same as their flagship models. It’s a newer higher end consumer notebook.

I’m not big on the glossy high Dpi screens. They can be problematic but i have no experience with them.

I am just wondering if it is too early for OLED on laptops. At least on TV it’s apparently great for black and dark colors, but less bright than other screens. Perhaps it’s worth to watch movie etc. Not sure about other stuff though.

Personally I can’t stand glossy, always go with IPS matt displays.

I just saw today OLED display on laptop… far better , cleaner picture , colors etc than normal displays

Would be interesting to go to a store to check it out. I never had my hands on OLED laptop

Btw what this means AMD Ryzen 7 5700U (8C / 16T, 1.8 / 4.3GHz,

1.8 / 4.3 GHz ?

Normally working at 1.8 but Max is 4 .3 or ?

Me too!

Edit: Click on specs

I think i do like the looks of the vivobook. The zenbook is a thinner model like an ultrabook.

Yes, for me both looks good. But with those slim laptops I am little worried about the heat and cooling ?

these look really nice!

@Brtza

Not sure if your model is same as this and whether you can see this info.

Edit: I think the zenbook is similar but is more an ultrabook style so is thinner at 16.9 mm?

Yes, the same with Ryzen 7 .

But ZenBook is the same almost  OLED display btw

Dimension (WxHxD) 31.36 x 22.06 x 1.69 ~ 1.69 cm

Yes Vivobook is 1.89?

And ZenBook has better CPU Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5825U Mobile Processor (8-core/16-thread, 16MB cache, up to 4.5 GHz max boost)

So you see how hard is to decide which one
