Hello, first time poster. I’ve run various linux systems for a couple of years and Endeavour for about 1 year. Thanks to all the people who post questions and those that answer them. I was able to solve my problem via search engine! After updating, my system rebooted with errors and wouldn’t progress to the login page. I tried a snapshot with the same result. No problems booting into my other distro on another partition. I realised the likely cause was a full partition and was able to resolve by searching topics on the forum and doing a btrfs balance. My question now is as someone who tweaks their system minimally if at all, what maintenance should I be doing on my btrfs system and how often? Great topic for a tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
I think I get what this is saying (i don’t have an answer sorry) but am finding it hard to understand the question as there seem to be a couple but it may just be me reading wron

You should be doing both scrub’s and balance’s on a regular basis. I recommend monthly.
btrfsmaintenance
provides some systemd units to help with that. If you want a GUI, Btrfs Assistant is a front end for btrfsmaintenance
. In the spirit of full disclosure, I am the maintainer of Btrfs Assistant.

Cool, thanks for your reply. I will start to schedule this in…and explore the packages you mention.
