Guys I almost dual boot every linux distro on my asus laptop and I did endeavour os right now but my brightness dont work for some reason I change the value but no effects is happening the screen is still dim I tried every youtube tuturial to fix it could someone please help me out ? thank you
Nvidia GPU?
What DE and are you in Wayland or X11?
If you are using X11 methods to control brightness in Wayland, that’s generally not going to work.
On Windows my amd radeon control my brightness saturation and brightness not the nvidea gpu like control panel because i have integrated gpu i guess
I tried changing from wayland to x11 its still the same
inxi -Gaz
would help a ton.
And indeed welcome here new Endeavournaut
I’m new to linux I only found your comunity to be helping and replying after I found that its still the same with edeavour os I uninstalled it but i have linux mint installed is it okay I send the inxi -Gaz from mint ?
inxi -Gaz

mesa ubuntu?
ah i see… Mint
And thats hybrid optimus device dual GPU.
could have issues with nouveau:
but it does run on the igpu anyway for you same would be in case you install EndeavourOS.
What should I do to fix it ?
My only guess is to check the Driver Manager on Mint and install the Nvidia drivers if you haven’t.
and to actually use the decent GPU (Nvidia) you would need to configure or install a switcher.
It could be already an issue to not have the propritary Nvidia driver installed for the brightness issue… as system could have issue communicating with the GPU.
If I remember correctly, Asus has a special package for various settings. Try something like:
yay -Ss asus
I actually give up I’m convinced my issue won’t be solved thanks for everyone who tried to help
