So it’s not that weird to boot from HD…and I’m not the only one thinking about doing it
It sounds like nonsense to me what you are saying, but maybe you have not understood that that is not the main problem. But everyone stays with his own idea. Always think before you write, though.
The preference for booting from the hard drive over an external disk solves nothing, other than forgetting where you placed the usb stick. There is nothing more that can be accomplished via booting off the hard drive rather than a usb stick. The reverse is true, booting off the hard drive is more limiting than booting from an external usb stick. But, I am glad you solved your problem.
