Bluetooth dongle. . . vesion 5.0

I’ve purchased a bluetooth dongle (similar to usb thumbdrive but smaller). Question: I’ve got a Sony camera with built in bluetooth (Sony ZV-1F vlogging camera). Will I be able to pair this with the computer and possibly transfer photo’s or video’s instead of a USB cable connnect to the camera? I thought I’d give this a try by purchasing one of these for this very purpose. I was able to pair it with my samsung cell phone but would that would give me ‘cloud’ storage up to 5 gig. I was thinking this would be a quicker means to transfer video to computer without the hassle of a USB cable (which is faster I’m sure). Any thought’s or idea’s would be welcome.

I don’t know why you think it would be faster. Bluetooth 5.0 can only transfer at 50 Mbps (megabits per second).

USB Standards

Standard Also Known As Max. Data Transfer Speed
USB 1.1 Full Speed USB 12 Mbps
USB 2.0 Hi-Speed USB 480 Mbps
USB 3.2 Gen 1 USB 3.0 USB 3.1 Gen 1 SuperSpeed 5 Gbps
USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB 3.1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 SuperSpeed+ SuperSpeed 10Gbps 10 Gbps

I don’t think I suggested it was faster than a usb cable connection. . . . I know that. I was looking at the possibility of not having to remove the memory card or constantly using a micro usb connection that can possibly wear out in the camera. That’s the premise I was suggesting. Maybe it could be another method without all of the wired connections and removal and insertion of the memory card. . . . Not as fast in downloading but still effective without the wear and tear of cable connections etc.
