Bluetooth doesn't startup after an update

After updating today and rebooting, my bluetooth just stopped working, when i click on the “Enable” button nothing happens(KDEPlasma) and i can’t connect anything, but it says that it’s active and is not blocked:

Looks like this issue

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=313552

It took a while(because i found another issue, with my setup specifically) but after downgrading to 7.0.3-arch1-2
everything seems to work nicely, thanks

First: @Stal welcome to the forum! :purple_heart:

During those ongoing problems with the kernel vulnerabilities I would not recommend to downgrade the kernel.
Maybe your problem with bluetooth is related to the problem in the following thread:
https://forum.endeavouros.com/t/no-bluetooth-after-kernel-update-7-0-7-arch1-1-64-bit/79669
The solution there is to upgrade to kernel 7.0.8 where bluetooth works again.

I’m running the 7.0.8 1-1 and my BT is not working again. I’m going to roll back as far as I need too. Someone in the arch forum did point out that waiting for a fix upstream could take up to a week. I cannot work that long without my peripherals.

Have you tried to install the LTS kernel? Maybe bluetooth does work there.

I couldn’t test that so far but it looks like other users on reddit have the same problem with the Qualcomm QCNCM865.

I’m coming back once I found a solution.

Edit: The LTS-Kernels don’t work for me because my WiFi-BT combo uses the new driver that needs a 7.x kernel according to the error msg. I get.

I’m going to start the evac now. Switching to another distro until the fix is out.

I’m running the LTS kernel and the issues hasn’t been fixed yet, will have to wait for next update.

EDIT : Fixed in 6.18.32-2-lts update
