Bloothctl claims it has paired when it has not

Hello!

Got a technics SC-C70MK2 a while back, with the bluetooth being hit and miss. I connected to it for the first time on this new install, and it worked absolutely fine, both ways (the audio controls on the unit effect the PC’s).

Created a new user account for family to use while im away, tried to connect the device and it failed. I recall having this issue before (previous installs), but if i hold the power button of the technics while i turn it on then it resets bluetooth and it worked. Only this time it isn’t working. I have tried to connect it using bluedevil (i am on KDE), and it finds the device, claims to pair and then connect, although the technics is still flashing and saying it is pairing. I have tried using bluetoothctl in the command line (as per the EOS bluetooth guide), but this produces the same outcome. Any advice or assistance?

Connected on windows in the past fine, and has just connected to my android phone fine, so i don’t think it is a device issue but instead a linux issue. Im using a USB dongle which worked fine yesterday. Ask for any logs you want.
