Black Screen on Login after System Update - No TTY Access Either

No i was just going to suggest before you do any updating if you get it running again to update the mirrors first.

Okay, I’ll be sure to give that a try once I get back to my PC and run Timeshift.

Well I can actually rollback to before the update occured (Thanks to my Ritualistic use of Timeshift) and then see what updates are being installed according to Pamac.

There was a large amount of kde updates previously also besides the kernel. But i got them all without any issue . You have way more advanced setup with multi-monitors etc.

Maybe this one is the culprit? [2021-05-09T09:55:45-0400] [ALPM] upgraded prison (5.81.0-1 → 5.82.0-1)

Once I’m back at home I’ll be sure to test the “single monitor” theory first before trying anything else, but I’m not holding much hope that it will resolve the issue, I am NOT very confident in my abilities to fix/resolve these kinds of issues.

Prison? Hmmmm do prisons have the budget for AMD Ryzen Threadripper CPU’s though?

Maybe you didn’t even get that update yet as it was yesterday.

Edit: Good luck! Hope you figure it out.
