Battery of my laptop is not charging, when I run,
upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0
It shows state as pending-charge. How to resolve this issue?
EDIT: I have enabled my power manager too my removing network manager conf file??
here is my log:
Was there a voltage spike in your area by chance?
I had such occurrence some time ago, what i did is just unplugged all devices with PSU / chargers and let it sit for a 1-2 minutes, then plug back and it works.
depending on how old your computer is or how much you use the battery your battery may be dying or dead, another possibility is your charging supply cord might be fried.
my battery shows the same info as yours, but my battery is also 10 years old so it was due to die anyway.
LIthium-ion batteries don’t last forever unfortunately. especially if your reliance on them are super heavy or if you leave it plugged for extended period of time.
edit: or you might have some kind of hardware failure from your psu to battery.
