Battery charge limit not persistent on reboot

On KDE, I have to manually go to settings and change the charging limit back 80% since every time I power on or restart, it keeps going back to 100%. How do I fix this?

EDIT update:
So I noticed that if I boot into Windows, I can’t change the battery charge limit, which one time it didn’t even charge my battery, even reaching it below the last limit I added.

What laptop are you using?

There’s some Asus laptop specific information here, about setting battery threshold. Note it acknowledges the issue of the threshold not being persistent between restarts.
