Backlight working for few keys only on ASUS ROG Laptop

Hi fellow Endeavouronauts!

I set up my system by following the ArchWiki. I’m using KDE Plasma on Wayland. My laptop’s model is ASUS ROG Strix G17 G713QR-ES96. I have provided the output of lsusb down below:

Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0b05:1866 ASUSTek Computer, Inc. N-KEY Device
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 13d3:3563 IMC Networks Wireless_Device
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub

Everything seems to be working fine except for the keyboard backlight. The backlights do work. But sometimes, after boot or waking up from suspend, when I turn the backlight brightness up, only a few keys light up. Others remain off no matter what I do. I have also observed that the few aforementioned keys that light up are the same ones. The problems does persist after a suspend or a reboot. But a cold boot seems to fix the issue so far.

I have tried everything listed on the Keyboad Backlight ArchWiki page and the problem still persists. The issue seems to occur randomly at times. Can’t find a solid way to reproduce it.

How can I solve this problem and make my keyboard backlight reliable? I don’t know exactly what information or logs to provide, so let me know if anything is required.
