Awesomeness

Anyone ever have a pet that has done anything like the ones in this video?

Edit: I dont know. I never seen vids like this, and now I am seeing a lot of videos like this all of a sudden. It makes me wonder if AI has anything to do with this.

I had a dog do simar to the first who ran through a glass door, no reason except I think he forgot it was there cos he got just as much a fright as everyone else when it shattered.

Sure, but in the video the dog didnt run through the glass door. The mountain lion did. The dog was supposedly on guard…

Shows why I am an unreliable witness, I thought it was a dog

Some clips show a Sora branding. Which is OpenAIs video generator. Imma assume all the clips are AI generated. Especially the ones with wild animals. Where should they come from in a city, they’d be way to scared. Difficult times we live in. You can’t trust a video on the internet anymore. Period. As much as you’d wish a video to be true. It is probably not.

Can i say ā€œAI slopā€ here? Is it allowed?

The thing is, AI has gotten so good at creating videos, the ā€œvideo evidenceā€ will not be a thing in courts in the near future, maybe unless it came from a security camera. People recording videos on their phones to ā€œproveā€ something will have absolutely no evidence on their hands.

I always see something otherworldly–a way a body would not move, for instance–in even AI clips that it shows its hand to me as a fake. When they close the gap on these little ā€˜tellsā€, and we can longer discern the we have constructed a 100% fake world.

You have a great point about judicial proceedings. Can you imagine the day the US court system where a good defense attorney can get all videos disqualified to be used against their client by accusing it as fake? can you imagine the day all video becomes inadmissible in the US Court system because; possibility of AI?

Even you readers who consented to Ring’s terms to get your home feed up in cloud, 24/7, with full police access to the view from your home’s perimeter…that feed is out there to be tampered with as well by bad actors.

A great writer and reporter’s motto was ā€œBuy the ticket, take the ride.ā€ Indeed

Not only that. AI can not quite speak right yet. Youtube is full of hour long videos that are obviously ai because, while the wording, and voice is pretty impressive, every now and then, ai flubs when it comes to speaking the words. It sometimes misses the natural pauses that come in some sentences, and puts pauses where there should not be one. Sometimes words are mis pronounced, or inflection points are off. For example the video below. At 30 seconds in it mispronounces coordinates, and misses proper timing for the next word. At 2:26 another flub. It misses a natural pause. It is getting better though.

I listened to that whole video, and I must say, it was an interesting story, and it kept me engaged. Other than the occasional flub, it sounded like a good book. My guess is ai will put some authors out of business. It s almost like, in a way, we are witnessing a loss of humanity.

My old folks are watching AI videos all day. It is a sad sight really. These people are getting the story written by AI, spoken by AI, the images in the video made by AI, and then post it to youtube, which claims that AI videos can not be monetized. If they can’t be monetized why is youtube full of them?
