# Authentication required

### 1. Description of the Issue

The moment the ISO is live with desktop wallpaper etc., there is a prompt with the window title “authentication required”, but no more content other than the wallpaper cutout as part of the prompt window. When attempting to close the window by mouse, the window title changes to “not reponding …”.

you made sure ISO file is fully synced to the microSD drive? the issue you describing is not commonly known.

When copy the ISO file to the ventoy partition make sure to use “save remove” option or run `sync` command in a terminal till it frees the prompt.

And also it is not an issue in most cases.. why setting ventoy to MBR?

Using SD-card is also not really recommended.. i do that from time to time and it is working but the implmenation for SD card readers harware sided is not always working properly to use it as boot slot.

Used Balena Etcher on microSD, the proper unmount makes it work.
