Hello everyone,
I’m quite new in using linux on my destkop and came here to seek help for my audio issue.
I recently installed EOS on desktop that has an ancient audio interface connected, RME Fireface 400. It is connected via pcie firewire card.
But the audio volume is extremely high, so high that the sound actually gets distorted and crunched at an extremely high volume at 1%.
The interface seems to be properly recognized by pipewire
, shown up in the system sound panel as well as on the qpwgraph
.
I additionally installed libffado
and pipewire-ffado
but ended up with no luck.
All other built-in audio outputs are working properly(through nvidia card and intel chips MB)
I have tested the same interface on another machine with pipewire, though running manjaro, and have seen that it properly works. Although I could not find the difference in settings.
Where should I try to look up for this issue?
Thanks for any advice!
