This has been going on for me for at least 2 weeks now. I haven’t been able to update almost any AUR package, excepting only really small packages (like pacseek-bin).
I have had only a couple of times where it seemed the AUR repo wasn’t working. Think it’s okay now.
Right after I threw my tantrum, I was able to upgrade all of my AUR packages. Figures, right? 
One of them, by the way, was vmware-workstation. QEMU has been getting on my nerves lately, so I’m giving the old one another go.
Qemu got on my nerves a long time ago and i like vmware-workstation so that’s what i use and it works.
