I’ve seen this is possible with Pulse https://ostechnix.com/turn-your-linux-pc-into-bluetooth-speakers-for-your-phone/ but I can’t seem to find any easy way to do it with pipewire. I’m trying to get this to work so I can connect my switch to the computer and have the audio coming through the pc. Any way to do that?
Yes you can, by default with wireplumber you should only have to pair your bluetooth device with your pc and you should see your device in pavucontrol settings
I just tried and didn’t have to do anything, just paired my phone over bluetooth and started music, it came out of the monitor
It should be pretty much the same as your link
Tell me if it doesn’t work we’ll try to troubleshoot this.
now i have to ask, what are you using to share your phone screen to your pc ? ![]()
Can confirm, didn’t knew this and had to try.
Works like a charm and with could even route the audio from the phone to easyeffects, using qpwgraph
easy
scrcpy
and some smart script that will automatically load it when i plug the phone ..
Nice, i’ll look into it, thanks ![]()
Feel very silly, just had to go into bluetooth settings and turn on ‘visible’ under configuration. Sadly Switch 2 does not want to connect to PC, possibly just won’t work idk. (Phone does work though)
also cheating as of if use scrcpy it will handle audio also without any Bluetooth..
but if i unplug it will use Bluetoth to pipe audio:
Did you manage to at least pair it with your pc or did it fail before that ? if you did manage to pair it you have to initiate another pairing from your device and not the pc for it to work (can be capricous with some devices)
Looks like a very powerful tool and lightweight, way better than other alternatives (like vnc and such), thanks again for the discovery
in case it can be a solution to conneczt device over cli tool sudo bluetoothctl the first time to get the key pairing done properly with the phone ..
sudo bluetoothctl
scan on
pair XXXXX
trust XXXXX
auto-scrcpy.py.txt (2.8 KB)
tahts what i use as < daemon / handler for it..
