It’s an “AI” that looks at code commits to the kernel, based on the commit it makes recommendations and points out potential issues (picking one random commit). Then humans can review these. There’s no “wrong information”, just a “new source of input”.
We are not talking about “vibe coders” acting on that input, but people who literally are responsible for the Linux kernel for sometimes decades. They can detect bullshit from humans or AI reporting issues. If these people act esp. up the chain to justify a single commit kernel release you can be sure there was a real issue.
Also, I will point out that he patch to fix this was submitted by Linus Torvalds. I assume you will agree that Mr Torvalds knows a thing or two about the Linux kernel?

All linux kernels are impacted.
It is technically not an algorithm. Rather it is a combination of probability and permutation/combination. It is not based on the wrong info.
From what I gather, these tools can locate a vulnerability, chain a few of them together or none of them and develop an exploit. Faster than a human can. That is why it is essential to fix these. Anyone more knowledgeable can please add to this.
When is this fix coming to Arch? In version 7.0.8 or 7.0.9? Or later?
