Anomaly in gparted?

Hi,
My disks list display in Gparted no longer works. Will I be the only one with this problem?

Can you better explain what you mean? There isn’t much we can do with “No longer works”.

Are you getting an error? Something else?

At the top right I can see my nvme SSD displayed there. When I click on the arrow, the scrolling list opens quickly and disappears immediately. No error.

  • Have you rebooted since your last time installing updates?
  • Is your system fully-updated?(Yes, this really matters. A partially updated system can cause applications to not function properly)
  • Have you tried running the application from a terminal to see if any errors show up in the terminal window.

Could you try dragging instead of simply clicking? Meaning click on drop-down, don’t lift the mouse button. Drag cursor to other disk you want to select then lift button.

Sometimes I have problems with eight click menu in Firefox and this is what I do to get around it.

I did restart EOS after the update.
I have the same problem when I run from the terminal.

Do any messages show up in the terminal when the problem occurs?

No that doesn’t work for me anymore. I am unable to keep the display of this list.

No message. :innocent:

Can you click on the gparted menu, go to devices and select your disk that way? Also, do you have more than one disk?

Yes! it works that way.
I have 4 devices.

Thank you dalto for your help.
I just saw that when I use the up and down arrows it works, it offers me all the disks.
The problem is with the use of the mouse. Well i will live like this…

If you click on an item, then right click and go to “properties” it will show you a list of which applications that can open that item. You can then choose which application with which to open it. More importantly you can change applications by using the up/down arrows to change priority. Sorry if I am stating the obvious but this applies to most DEs as far as I know.
