An ultra-lightweight setup using lxde

Yes - we all know this  but running around “headless” like a chicken is not the subject of this topic.
It is so sad that all that comes near to LXDE efficiency is some empty headless setup of no use to me whatsoever.
LXDE or MATE on a 2-3MiB RAM laptop runs fine for most; in point of fact fast and snappy too

Okay … LXDE is great at everything. But wonder why not many are using that.

I’m from Asia and we have problems with money but people who do have computers at least have 4+ Gb’s as their RAM. And no one is forcing anyone to use Endeavour and Endeavour is a project and really has open doors anyone can come and go as they please.

If people like what we do they will adapt it if they don’t then they will leave it. Would Endeavour try to be a stripped-down lightweight distro? No, it won’t. Endeavors’ target is to be close to Arch as possible and make the installation and configuration parts users friendly, and that’s it. And not to force any big software packages on users and leave the rest to users’ preference.

If you have some kind of problem that Endeavour doesn’t ship with LXDE then you’re more than welcome to be a contributor and start a CE with the community. If not then it’s best to stop trolling.

Could I suggest you actually read what Endeavour are saying over at…

A highly customizable and lightweight Desktop Environment with a traditional touch and feel. The perfect choice for lower specs hardware that requires a minimum of 2 GB of RAM

This has fallen into nonsense at this point. Closing.
