It can be pricey…
Way out of my price range but still cool, one day
Wish it came with a 15 or 17in display and then I’d consider it!
While not a “pro”, this looks pretty damned good…
Well, given that pricetag of the Ryzen AI300, I’ld say it’s a hard no.
That’s almost the price for 2 Macbook Pros 14" in their base configuration.
Nevertheless, techwise, would be nice too have. But I’ld like to keep my organs ![]()
You bought one or what?
No they do send me one to keep it using and report on issues.
The yare a very supportive company.
If you don’t have time, you could send it to me. I’ll test it in my daily use.

okay i keep that in mind ![]()
I can make use of it for testing already as of the Nvidia , and plan is to write a small install and setup tutorial. Plus, i want to test the AI features with the CPU.. . And this beast is more a Desktop replacement as a mobile device .. holding it feels like carry a mac server
Do you have the version with the touchscreen i’m thinking of replacing my surface with a framework 13 laptop and was wondering if the touch was working fine ? The surface has to run a custom compiled version of the arch kernel in order to support touch.
i bought the 12 for my daughter my 2 devices do not have touchscreen, only tested the 12 for a short time before she was taking it over ![]()
But all was working perfectly fine.
I placed my preorder yesterday and in batch 2. Looks like a really nice laptop, can’t wait to get it. I have a Framework Desktop (running EndeavourOS) that is fantastic.
i would be very happy to see a review when you got it, may sharing some logs and details with it!
I’ve also ordered a Framework 13 Pro a couple of days ago. My batch (4) is stated for July. From my reading of the linux compatibility on their site everything should be working mostly out of the box. My main question is the touchscreen. I’ll also be happy to answer questions once I get mine. I will be installing EOS on it as well. It’s already running great on my Surface pro even though I have to run a custom kernel to support some hardware. I have ordered the Ryzen AI 300 Series version. It’s not intended for gaming or a workstation really as the video card is a AMD 860M which is fine to run games like Terraria or Graveyard Keeper but not demanding titles. I just want a linux compatible laptop that’s good all around.
Did you mean to post that in this topic?
Nope ![]()
Verge Cast, the podcast had a very good episode where they discussed this particular Framework laptop. They compared it to Apple 14’’ laptop. Funny they did not compare it with other Windozs laptops.
