This guy is pretty damn good at explaining how to migrate from Adobe Creative Suite on Windows to free and open source apps on Linux. He’s not an “expert”, as he clearly states. But he’s also straight forward and honest. Particularly about things such as being “frustrated” at the change and having a willingness to learn, be patient, and migrate when you’re ready. A really good video for anyone contemplating such a change.

I would love to see this gain traction, both because it will cause it’s own escalation and resources devoted to the tools, and because he’s right, the Adobe chain is THE thing holding many people back from switching.
I really need to check out Gimp 3.0 RC1…maybe later today

I agree. With a few exceptions (Davinci Resolve Studio offering a professional alternative to AfterEffects/Premiere), the Adobe Suite remains unrivalled under Linux.
