Adding/changing mirrors while traveling abroad

I live in the US but am traveling in the Middle East for work and brought my laptop with eos on it. I just realized I need to install a piece of software. I ran checkupdates as a test and it eventually went through but was very slow. Should I run reflector-simple and add mirrors for the country I’m in, or could that have negative consequences?

No, that is fine.

Just run it again when you return to the US.

I would backup my current file, THEN reflector-simple or maybe rate-mirrors for new choices. Returning to your usual afterwards is trivial…

Edit: I type too slowly!

If it is me I would launch “welcome” app and update mirrors.
I would repeat after I return back.

Thanks all.
