Hello everyone,
I’m using new HP ZBOOK Power 15 G10A with latest BIOS and receiving the following kernel errors:
|kernel|ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [_SB.PCI0.G4CE.G4BE], AE_NOT_FOUND (20230331/psargs-330)|
|kernel|ACPI Error: Aborting method _SB.PCI0.G4CE due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND) (20230331/psparse-529)|
|kernel|ACPI Error: Aborting method _SB.PCI0.LPCB.EC0._Q09 due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND) (20230331/psparse-529)|
I’m on Kernel: 6.4.10-arch1-1. Any idea how to be resolved?
I doubt that you can resolve these informational error messages. If you have the latest UEFI Bios and there is no problem with using the laptop i wouldn’t be concerned.

Hi Rick,
yeah laptop is working fine.
I also use Endeavouros on an old Lenovo X1 Carbon, and I did not notice this error there. I also wanted to report it directly to “https://bugs.archlinux.org/”, but I didn’t go through the registration via BUG_REPORT_URL
. Because I think too new BIOS will cause it and will need to reach into the kernel. Anyway, thanks for the reply.
I don’t think there is anything to worry about unless there is some specific issue tied to those particular error messages. A lot of laptops have acpi error messages due to manufacturers poor implementation of UEFI Bios.
