So, you know how I was saying that my keyboard and mouse didn’t work on the lock screen? I did a sudo dmesg and found this error usb 1-8: device descriptor read/64, error -110. Searched this error and ran into this random site that has the perfect solution. Just power drain your pc. My bluetooth wasn’t working either. So, I unplugged everything from the pc, shut it down, turned off the power button and unplugged the power cable from the PSU. Pressed and held the power button (while the power cable is unplugged) for 60 seconds. Plugged the power cable back in and turned on the pc. Plugged everything back in and now things are back to normal. I know about the power draining thing and I always do it on windows, but never thought I would ever need it on linux. WOW. Everything is good and back to normal now.
EDIT: Oh, and the start job issue is completely gone now
I sure hope it stays that way for you. Like I said, I’ve experienced this issue come and go randomly in strange patterns.
I just remembered that I noticed it also occurring more when I reboot from the terminal with sudo reboot
I feel like it has never happened when using my mouse pointer to click the restart button in the shutdown GUI. It could be entirely random, though, as I have zero clue for certain.
