A new convert to EndeavourOS

Greeting EndeavorsOS land.

After recently discovering EndeavorsOS and giving it a quick spin running off an USB drive, I was delighted with the quality, feel, look and performance of EndeavourOS. All three of my computers ( Mac Mini, MacBook (2010) and Asus x55cr) were running MX Linux and I was satisfied with the distro.

Quickly – in a matter of 3 days, all of my computers were migrated to EndeavourOS. Yes, I’m a happy camper, now! As a news-photographer my main two apps are GIMP and XnView for image management . In the past I have experienced some degree of difficulties installing BIMP image multiplication plugin and at time XnView it self. To my surprise and delight, upon discovering SNAP SHOTS, all jumping through hoops were a thing of the past. Life is good!!!

I’ve never easily install something before!

In all thanks to the development team for their vision, work and wonderful Linux distribution.

What? Me Worry! I know what I know because I know it …

Welcome to the forum!

As you probably know, EndeavourOS is a rolling model distro based on Arch.
So we are using the latest packages practically all the time.

And our forum is very friendly, so asking any question couldn’t be easier.
Answers will be informative too, so any reasonably solvable problem will be solved.

And on another thread you already contributed by helping a fellow user, which is simply great!

I liked MX too but a while with EOS and could not be happier. Welcome!

I was happy with MX and Linux Lite, too. But now I can say that I’ve found what I was looking for in a distro and a lively helpful community as well. Happy computing with EOS. Cheers!

Good story. Thanks for sharing it. I’m also fortunate enough to be in a situation where I can use EndeavourOS in my profession (technical training). EOS is snappy, stable, reliable and I don’t have to hunt for PPAs or download .deb files from the internet anymore. Between the official repositories and the AUR I have every tool I could possibly need for course development and teaching. Cheers & welcome to the forum.
