Admittedly each ones’ use case and needs are different. So apparently you are using more of Google’s services than the pure search engine or mail account.

Personally, I am left with a couple of old Gmail accounts that I am using very rarely. One of them only for an Android phone which is mostly in the drawer. It is used only for some apps that I can’t get working on a de-googled device.

There is this thread in the forum for privacy respecting search engines:

> I used DDG to search for “privacy search engines” and skimmed through some of the articles that came up. Here are are some of the engines which figure in those articles: DuckDuckGo Startpage Qwant Metager Mojeek Ecosia Gibiru I have been using DuckDuckGo for some time but I would be interested to try out others as well. I’ll be grateful for you comments and suggestions. Edit: correcting the spelling

For email providers:

I already use a couple to keep my different contacts separate (mostly friend/family - commercial stuff - official/administrative ones). I think I’d rather pay a bit (when it’s free you do know who the product is… and sometimes even worse than just a product i fear…) and find something which would allow encryption and imap. Do any of you run their own severs? Does …

Alternative to Youtube:

> **[Odysee](https://odysee.com/)**
>
> Explore a whole universe of videos on Odysee from regular people just like you!

> **[What is PeerTube? | JoinPeerTube](https://joinpeertube.org/)**
>
> A free software to take back control of your videos! With more than 600,000 hosted videos, viewed more than 70 millions times and 150,000 users, PeerTube is the decentralized free software alternative to videos platforms developed by Framasoft

But maybe they won’t get you the coverage you might need.

For viewing Youtube videos, I mostly use:

> **[Invidious](https://invidious.io/)**
>
> Invidious is an open source alternative front-end to YouTube.
