I’m happy to say that I was following REN long before he erupted onto the indie music scene. I discovered his music when one of his videos appeared in my YouTube feed around 2017. It was this song, “Fire”, that intrigued me so much, integrating indie rock and rap.

  • REN’s backstory. This was REN in 2014. Wondering if he would even live. This was later found to be a misdiagnosis. He still suffers from Lyme Disease to this day. He reposted this video in 2022 as the announcement for his video “Hi Ren”, the song that catapulted him to indie stardom.
  • “Fire” (2016) should have been a massive hit worldwide. So damn good.

  • Since then, I’ve curated his music into a YouTube Playlist. From his solo music to his collaborations to his band, The Big Push. As well as his most recent work as Inpatient (a collaboration between REN and Chris Webby).
