me too. no hardware break is amazing
this is the way. I realized a long time ago the grsync would suit my needs just fine.

That kind of thing only happens to people who don’t know what they’re doing. It happened to me at first, too. Back when I thought I had to ignore every single tutorial and install stuff that made absolutely NO sense (m like bleachbit and stuff).
These days, my EOS is more stable than ever on Linux. It’s simple: I follow the rules
I don’t use backups either except of my files but no tools or such. Never had it on windows either so i won’t win/lose anything.
That said i cannot break my system either, i do updates, i use steam or heroic games launcher and i use firefox. I mainly keep the system as is. I did however install the stuff to tweak the panel. But nothing to complex i don’t understand.
I am just a “normal” user.
I think some people should take that to heart. Before they do anything else

Most of all, it’s much simpler than many other distros.. there are tons of articles and videos showing how to configure btrfs “correctly” e.g. on Fedora to then use snapper and grub btrfs (read: fight with the absurd defaults). Something that you have for free in Arch distros..
